Official Notice to All Residents
Unauthorized Operation of E-Bikes and Golf Carts – Safety, Property Damage, and Trespassing

Dear Homeowners and Residents,

The Board of Directors of Lake Bernadette HOA’s foremost concern is the safety and well-being of the children in our community. We have received multiple reports regarding minors operating e-bikes and golf carts in an unsafe and reckless manner throughout the community. This conduct places not only the operators at risk, but also pedestrians, motorists, and other residents. The potential for a serious injury or tragedy is very real, and the Board believes immediate action is necessary.

In addition to these serious safety concerns, the Association has received reports of damage to Association property, damage to private property, and repeated incidents of trespassing. Such conduct may constitute violations of the Association’s governing documents, as well as applicable state and local laws.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that their minor children operate e-bikes and golf carts safely, lawfully, and in compliance with the Association’s governing documents. Parents and guardians may also be held financially responsible for damage or loss caused by their minor children.

The Board asks all parents and guardians to speak with their children immediately about operating these vehicles responsibly, respecting private property, and understanding that reckless behavior will not be tolerated. The Board is committed to preserving a safe environment for everyone who lives in our community and will take appropriate enforcement action, where authorized by the governing documents and applicable law, to address continued violations.

If you have photographs, video recordings, or other information that may assist the Association in identifying those responsible for these incidents, please submit them to the Community Manager, Beverly Gedney, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We respectfully ask residents not to post photographs, videos, or allegations regarding these incidents on social media or community social media pages. Posting on social media can interfere with the Association's ability to address matters appropriately and may unnecessarily escalate tensions within the community. Instead, please report concerns directly to the Association so they can be reviewed and addressed through the proper channels.

The cooperation of every resident is essential to preventing injury, protecting property, and maintaining the quality of life within our community. We appreciate your prompt attention to this important matter and your partnership in helping keep our neighborhood safe for all.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
Lake Bernadette HOA

Pasco County urges everyone to conserve water and follow new watering guidelines as dry conditions trigger a modified Phase III “Extreme Water Shortage.” The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s order is in effect April 3 through July 1, 2026. Under the revised rules, irrigation windows for all water sources are now shorter.

Updated Watering Windows:

  • Potable, well, or surface water: 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.
  • Reclaimed water: Midnight – 8 a.m.
  • HOAs: May not require landscape replacement or pressure washing for aesthetic purposes.

Please maintain your property by cutting & edging lawns as well as weeding garden beds and tending to landscaping.
